SAILING TRIP IN THE KVARNER BAY - RIJEKA; OPATIJA

SAIL AWAY TOUR

 

Most defintely the best way to see and experience the city of Rijeka is from the seaside.

 

And the best way to taste the summer in Croatia is from a sailing boat working on your tan with the wind in your hair.

 

That's why we decided to organize a sailing boat tour on a 14 meter long sailing yacht. :D

 

The idea is simple – get on the boat in the center of the city where the captain of the boat will decide which direction are we taking depending on where are the better conditions for sailing.

 

If we sail south-east of the city, you can see the old harbour and the container terminal just next to the most luxury neigbourhood in Rijeka – Pecine, after which we catch a glimpse of the shipyard Viktor Lenac and get to know the beaches of Kostrena, the former fishing villige next to Rijeka.

If we sail North-west, you can see the former oil rafinery, torpedo launching ramp where torpedo was invented, legendary shipyard of 3. Maj, famous football stadium that's built in the rocks,  Volosko, a charming gastronomy gem and of course the 'Pearl of the Croatian cost' how many people like to refer to Opatija.

 

Please take a swimming suit or at least a towel with you because one part of this tour also includes taking a swim in Kvarner bay.  :)

Meeting point: on the pier next to Botel "Marina" in the center of the harbour in Rijeka (Šetalište Riva)

Helpful info: take with you some warm long sleeve clothes in case you get cold, swimming suit, towel, sun cream and a snack or two

 

There is a possibility for renting the sailing boat with the captain for the full day.

Also, we offer the same tour where we teach you a thing or two about sailing.
If you would like to learn the ropes, we have a 10 meter long sailing boat (Melges 32) that's made for professional sailing races - regatta's.

This boat is made for exhilarating sailing experiences  and the captain who is also a sailing instructor will be more then happy to show you a couple of tricks.
